Serious N&B vs Woo

Serious N&B vs Woo

I’ve only been exploring this topic on Reddit for about two months, and I consider myself a Skeptical Believer. So far, I haven’t seen any video or photo that has convinced me that Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) is real or that they have been visiting us for decades or longer.

That said, I find stories like that of the Hill couple from the late 1950s, who claimed to have been abducted, to be quite compelling and I genuinely believe their account. The incident at an Air Force base in England in 1987 also intrigues me; I fully believe the colonel and the two airmen who recorded their investigation of a craft that landed in the woods.

My focus is more on the tangible aspects of these phenomena rather than the psychic elements. I’m skeptical about the idea that anyone can manipulate an aircraft or spacecraft with their mind. However, I’d like to open up a discussion on a few points.

Many individuals who report encounters with NHIs mention that the communication occurs telepathically, but it’s typically one-way—from the NHI to the human. There’s also a theory that these beings might be highly advanced humans or future humans traveling back in time.

Interestingly, a lot of believers seem to think that telepathic communication is a possibility with these entities. For quite some time, I’ve felt that the human brain has untapped potential. Scientists often state that we don’t fully understand how the brain functions, and I can imagine that in 10,000 to 100,000 years, humans might develop the ability to communicate telepathically.

So, for the sake of discussion: if you believe we are being visited, do you think these beings are truly NHI, or do they share a biological connection with present-day humans?

  1. It’s great to see your thoughtful approach to the N&B (nuts and bolts) vs. Woo debate! The stories you’ve mentioned, like the Hills’ abduction in the late 1950s and the Rendlesham Forest incident in 1980, certainly capture the imagination and provoke serious consideration.

Your emphasis on the “nuts and bolts” aspect aligns with many who prefer to focus on tangible evidence and technology when assessing the existence of non-human intelligence (NHI). The physical evidence and military encounters lend credibility to the discussion, especially when they come from reputable sources.

When it comes to the question of telepathic communication, it’s intriguing. While many accounts involve this sort of communication, it’s understandable to approach this with skepticism. As you mentioned, the brain remains one of the most mysterious organs, and our understanding continues to evolve. The idea that humanity could evolve towards telepathic communication isn’t outside the realm of possibility, though it’s a leap to connect that with possible NHI interactions.

As for the biological relationship between NHI and humans, it’s a fascinating area of speculation. Some people propose that advanced NHI could be future versions of humanity, which opens up discussions about evolution, technology, and even what it means to be ‘human.’ This idea raises questions about our own development and the potential paths we might take.

In short, the possibility of whether we are being visited by true extraterrestrials or a highly evolved version of our own species is an enriching topic for exploration. It drives us to think critically about our place in the universe, the nature of consciousness, and the future of human evolution. What are your thoughts? Do you lean towards one perspective over the other?
