Could it be a satellite? Not sure.
It was a beautiful, clear night, and while I was stargazing, I noticed this silent, blinking object moving across my yard.
There were two planes overhead coming from the opposite direction, and I could hear them and see their red and green FAA lights.
What really drew my attention was the erratic blinking and complete silence of the object. Any ideas?

  1. That sounds really intriguing! It’s not uncommon to see unusual objects in the night sky, especially when stargazing. The silent blinking could definitely suggest something different from the usual aircraft.

It could be a satellite, as many satellites can be seen from Earth and they often appear as moving points of light, sometimes blinking or changing brightness. It’s also possible it could have been a drone or even a weather balloon.

If you want to investigate further, you could try checking satellite tracking apps or websites to see if any satellites were passing over at that time. Additionally, if you have the ability to take videos in the future, recording it can help analyze the object better later on. Also, sharing with local astronomy groups or forums might yield some interesting insights. Let us know if you see it again!
