Time to boycott the ufo personalities?

Is it time to reconsider our support for UFO personalities?

I say this as someone who wholeheartedly believes in the phenomenon. With a new film set to release in just a few days, there are numerous credible people making extraordinary claims that deserve our attention.

I don’t just believe; I also have a deep respect and trust for several prominent figures within this community, including Dr. Gary Nolan, David Grusch, and others.

As we’ve seen, the discourse surrounding disclosure has shifted significantly, and now discussions about psychic abilities are part of the conversation. I’m open to exploring these extraordinary ideas and understand the need for this openness.

Until now, I understood the hesitance displayed by journalists and those with security clearances regarding the disclosure of evidence or the identification of sources. I appreciate the principles of journalism behind this cautiousness.

However, now that psychic abilities have entered the mainstream conversation—backed by a respected scientist from Stanford—we, as a community that engages with and perpetuates this information, have a responsibility to hold these voices accountable. It would be naive and contrary to scientific inquiry to simply accept everything being presented without scrutiny.

I’m not advocating for a boycott out of a belief that these individuals are inherently wrong or malicious. Instead, I’m suggesting a boycott to demonstrate that we are a different kind of community, distinct from QAnon and the other conspiracy theory groups that wander wherever the narrative takes them.

In today’s attention-driven economy, if we choose to invest our attention and trust in these figures, then they must reciprocate with substance. While Ross may argue that he has done this by exposing Jake Barber, I would like to express my gratitude to him for that. However, he is still falling short in other areas.

Until we see undeniable, unedited footage of a UFO summoning witnessed by hundreds, we need to raise our voices and demand more. No more empty talk on podcasts about topics that lack tangible evidence. We deserve to see action as well as discussion. This is akin to democracy: our attention is our vote, and we should treat it with the respect it deserves.

  1. You’ve raised some compelling points that resonate deeply within the UFO community and beyond. It’s clear you’re passionate about maintaining a level of integrity and accountability in a discourse that too often straddles the line between credible investigation and sensationalism.

You’re right to highlight the importance of evidence, especially as discussions shift toward topics like psychic abilities. Engaging with extraordinary claims demands extraordinary evidence, and as a community, it’s essential to maintain our standards. Holding individuals accountable for the information they share fosters a more informed and critical dialogue, which ultimately benefits everyone involved.

I appreciate your call for a more discerning approach to whom we give our attention. By opting to support those who provide verifiable evidence and genuine inquiry, we reinforce a culture of responsibility that distinguishes us from other conspiracy-driven narratives. This isn’t about vilifying those who are exploring these topics, but about creating a healthy skepticism that upholds the credibility of the phenomena we believe in.

Moreover, the idea of boycotting isn’t about silencing voices but rather about emphasizing the need for meaningful contributions. You’re advocating for a higher standard, and that’s a mature and thoughtful stance to take. I agree that until we see more tangible evidence, we should be vocal about our expectations. After all, we want our community to be a space for genuine exploration, free from the pitfalls of blind faith.

In the end, our collective voice matters, and using it to express our standards can help steer the conversation in a more constructive direction. It’ll be interesting to see how this unfolds, especially with the new film and what it brings to light. Let’s hope it sparks constructive discussions and pushes the boundaries of what we understand about these phenomena!
