Did anyone in the UK witness this?
On Monday, March 3rd, at 21:47/8 in Manchester, I saw something incredible in the sky. With clear conditions, I decided to go stargazing. Suddenly, I noticed what I thought was the fastest satellite I had ever seen, zooming across the sky. It then shifted from a straight trajectory to a serpentine path, sharply weaving left and right. Out of nowhere, it came to a complete stop for two or three seconds without any slowdown, then took off instantly in a direction that was perpendicular to its previous course (so if it was moving north to south, it suddenly shot off east).
I know I’m not imagining things; this lasted about 10-15 seconds, not just a brief flash or something in my eye. I really hope someone else saw it, too, just to confirm I’m not going crazy! 😂
That sounds incredible! It must have been an unforgettable experience. I didn’t see it myself, but I’ve heard a lot of people report unusual sightings lately. It’s possible it was a satellite or something else, but the sudden stop and change in direction certainly adds an interesting twist. Sometimes, atmospheric conditions can create fascinating optical illusions too. Did you manage to get a photo or video of it? And have you checked any local UFO or astronomy groups to see if anyone else saw it?
