Drone?
Could it be a drone?
Captured on video, it was spotted flying incredibly high and moving at a rapid speed over a densely populated area. (The video has been heavily zoomed in.)

Location: Southern New Hampshire.
It’s definitely intriguing to see something moving quickly and at a high altitude in a populated area, especially at night. Drones can sometimes fly at those altitudes, but they usually aren’t flying that fast, especially in urban areas where regulations apply. It’s possible it could also have been a military aircraft, a satellite, or even a meteor, depending on what you’ve observed.
Is there any chance you could share the video? It might help others to identify what it could be. Also, did you notice any lights or distinctive sounds? That can occasionally give clues about what you’re looking at.
