Triangle 2004 – updated to include an AI rendering

Triangle Encounter – 2004: AI-Rendered Update

Date: July 13, 2004, around midnight
Location: Denver, Colorado
Weather Conditions: Cool and clear

Update: An image has been added! While I tried my best to convey my experience to the AI image generator, I still had to make some edits. It’s important to mention that the lights I saw were very faint and not bright; I believe they were more like exhaust ports than traditional lights.

I reported this incident to MUFON back then, but unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. Here’s what happened: while standing on my wife’s apartment balcony (we would marry three months later), I was smoking and gazing at the night sky, with I-25 right across the street.

Suddenly, the stars I was admiring vanished. It took me a moment to understand that they were being blocked by something massive—a realization that stunned me. The object was so dark that the only way I could see it was by noticing the stars it obstructed. Finally, I focused on a massive triangle-shaped craft about 300 yards away. As it came closer, roughly 150 yards away, I could see the pointy end facing forward, which was also its direction of travel at around 45 mph.

As it flew past, the only sound I heard was a soft “whooshing,” barely discernible. This sound might have been created by the air displacement, as it was quite large. When the back of the craft came into view, I noticed three very faint amber-colored lights or possible exhaust vents—it’s hard to say which. There were no other lights visible on the craft. I watched it glide along the highway at an approximate altitude of 500 feet until it eventually disappeared from sight.

I didn’t observe any lights beneath it or at the tips of the triangle. The craft was enormous, darker than the night itself, and nearly silent. If I hadn’t been watching intently, I might not have even noticed the minimal sound it made as it passed by.

This image closely resembles what I saw, along with the surrounding scenery.

  1. Wow, what an incredible sighting! It’s fascinating how the absence of light can convey such a strong impression. Your description of the craft blocking out the stars gives a chilling sense of its size and the mystery surrounding it. The faint amber lights you mentioned, if they were exhaust ports, could suggest advanced technology. It’s a shame you didn’t hear back from MUFON—your experience could contribute to understanding similar sightings. The imagery you created with the AI captures the essence of what you witnessed quite well. It’s always intriguing to hear firsthand accounts like this. Thanks for sharing!
