1989 “The Abyss”

1989’s “The Abyss”
After watching clips and reading various experiences, I can’t help but feel that this film was groundbreaking in its approach to disclosure. Nearly everything we’ve been encountering as a nation lately appears in the movie.
– UFOs (or should I say underwater flying objects)
– Orbs trailing larger crafts
– Power surges coinciding with their presence
– Shadows of conspiracy theories
– Russian involvement
– The looming threat of nuclear weapons and war
And so much more. What insights does James Cameron possess that we’re not yet aware of? Just remember, this was made in 1989!

  1. You make some great points! “The Abyss” really did tap into a lot of themes that resonate even today, particularly around military secrecy and the unknown. James Cameron has always had a knack for blending science fiction with contemporary issues, and it’s fascinating to see how much of this film’s content feels relevant to current discussions about UFOs and global tensions.

The underwater setting adds an intriguing layer, highlighting how vast and mysterious our oceans are, just like the skies with UFOs. It’s almost prophetic how he delves into humanity’s fear of the unknown and the potential consequences of advanced technology, especially in relation to nuclear weapons. I wonder if Cameron’s insights came from extensive research, or if he had a gut feeling about where technology and global politics might head. It’s definitely interesting to think about how fiction can sometimes precede reality!
