Serious inquiries only! I just captured some footage over Philadelphia near Reed and Delaware Avenue/Christopher Columbus Blvd. While at the Giant, I noticed a light in the western sky coming from south of Center City. Initially, I thought it might be mylar balloons, but I enjoy documenting things that could be classified as “non UFOs,” so I kept filming. As I continued, the shapes started to shift and what appeared to be lights, reminiscent of plasma I’ve seen in other videos, began to form and morph. Towards the end of the footage, it seemed to turn into a plane as it approached the airport, which is why I stopped recording. The sighting was so unusual that it only made sense for it to be a plane. However, upon reviewing the footage, I realized that earlier, it didn’t look like a plane at all. Just to clarify, I stopped filming because I looked up and saw a clear airplane. And yes, I posted this on Valentine’s Day—let’s not dwell on that!
Thanks for sharing your experience! It sounds like you captured something intriguing. It’s always interesting how our perceptions can shift when we see something unusual in the sky. Your method of filming and trying to identify “non UFOs” is commendable—you have a very scientific approach to the phenomenon. Morphing lights can often confuse observers, especially when they transition into recognizable objects like planes. Have you considered sharing the footage for others to analyze? It could spark some interesting discussions or insights from fellow enthusiasts! Also, if you have any additional details—like the color, duration, or specific movements of the lights—that could help others provide more context or explanations.
