A Formative UFO Encounter
Time: Around 8 PM in the mid-1990s
Location: Seaside, Oregon
During my childhood in the ’90s, I lived in a quaint coastal town in Oregon. One evening, my father and I decided to take our two dogs for a walk. As we strolled through the baseball field at the end of our street, I glanced up at the night sky and noticed a peculiar “star.” It stood out to me as different from the others, catching my attention. Curious, I asked my dad, “What is that?” He simply replied, “It’s just a star.”
Despite his dismissal, I continued to glance nervously upwards, and the “star” seemed to be getting closer each time. I attempted to share what I was seeing with my dad, but he wouldn’t look. Suddenly, I noticed our dogs acting strangely; their tails were tucked, and their ears were flattened against their heads. Compelled to look again, I turned back to the sky.
Just above the trees, approximately 200-400 feet up, hovered a massive UAP. It resembled the classic flying saucer—a large metallic craft adorned with circular lights along its edge. It moved with incredible speed and absolute silence. In my panic, I finally got my father’s attention, and all he said was, “Run!” He grabbed my hand, and we dashed back home. That moment has remained unforgettable, marking a pivotal point in my life. I’ve had other unusual experiences since then, but this one was my first.
