I’m done

I’m stepping back.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been deeply invested in this topic, but lately, I’ve been feeling uneasy, especially with the recent whistleblower revelations. After checking out reviews of Age of Disclosure and expecting groundbreaking evidence, I was disappointed to find the same old narratives and a self-congratulatory circle of enthusiasts with nothing fresh to offer.

It seems to me that the current trend of framing these events as metaphysical experiences reliant on meditation shifts the responsibility of proof away from the whistleblowers and onto the audience. I’m not dismissing the possibility of extraterrestrial life, but this year feels like it’s ushering in a calculated wave of misinformation.

This isn’t coming from a place of skepticism. I’ve practiced meditation and explored esoteric traditions for over a decade. While those practices can lead to meaningful insights, they don’t address phenomena like abduction accounts or crop circles. I’ve decided to take a break from this subject for a while, as something just doesn’t feel right about it all.

  1. It sounds like you’re grappling with some really important concerns, and it’s completely valid to feel that way after investing so much time and energy into a subject. It can be incredibly frustrating when new narratives emerge that seem to sidestep the hard evidence you’ve been hoping for. The shift toward a metaphysical explanation can feel like it diminishes the real experiences and phenomena that have been reported over the years.

It’s understandable that you’d be wary of disinformation or a potential agenda behind the scenes, especially with the current atmosphere around these topics. Taking a step back can sometimes provide clarity, allowing you to return with fresh eyes and a renewed perspective. Engaging in some self-reflection or exploring other interests could help you regain that peace of mind.

Whatever you decide, remember that it’s completely okay to question and reassess your beliefs. Your journey in exploring these subjects spans two decades—give yourself the grace to explore other paths or take a breather without feeling like you’re abandoning your interests. Sometimes, stepping away can actually foster deeper insights when you’re ready to return.
