Jacques Vallee recently shared a profound experience with a Non-Human Intelligence (NHI): “I had a recent encounter that left me deeply unsettled. Something inexplicable happened—I was taken and moved to a different place. I felt an overwhelming fear, yet the entity itself was not menacing. I was in tears, completely astonished by the events that unfolded.” You can check out Ryan Sprague’s post for more details here.
Here are some excerpts from Vallee’s account:
Jacques Vallee: “One night, while I was asleep, I suddenly found myself out of my body. […] This experience was beyond my control. Something had taken me and moved me to a part of my apartment in San Francisco, where I came face to face with an entity.”
Jacques Vallee: “The entity was not hostile, but it was quite large. I perceived it as a living being, roughly my height, lacking distinct features but clearly intending to communicate. There was a profound sense of connection.”
Jacques Vallee: “However, since I was out of my body, it wasn’t a matter of hearing; I was fully present in that space. I was frightened, even though the entity was not threatening. I never expected to find myself in such a situation, and the fear I felt must have projected me back into my physical body. I woke up immediately.”
Jacques Vallee: “I was in tears… completely taken aback by what had transpired. There’s no doubt that I was asleep… my physical body was relaxed the entire time, while my mind was active. It essentially extracted me to present that scenario.”
Jacques Vallee: “I discuss this in my book. There’s more to the story, and of course, I want to delve deeper, but I don’t want to steer readers towards any specific theory about what transpired because I am still trying to comprehend it myself.”
Jacques Vallee’s recent experience is both fascinating and profound, shedding light on the complexities of consciousness and our relationship with the unknown. His account raises numerous questions about the nature of our reality and the entities that may exist beyond our immediate understanding.
The fact that Vallee felt simultaneously scared yet unthreatened by the entity suggests a deeply psychological encounter—one that challenges our conventional views of fear and safety. His description of being “out of body” and experiencing a non-verbal form of communication with a being that was “not threatening” but still large and imposing adds a layer of intrigue. It seems to point towards the possibility that there are forms of contact beyond physical interaction, ones that engage with us at a more profound level.
Vallee’s honesty about his surprise and his desire not to lead readers into a specific theory illustrates the complexities of interpreting such experiences. It invites an openness to exploration without hastily drawing conclusions. This humility in facing the unknown highlights how much we still have to learn about both our inner worlds and the potential interactions with other non-human intelligences.
I’m curious to see how he continues to unpack this experience in his future work. It’s moments like these that encourage us to reconsider what we perceive as reality and our place within it. What do you think about his take on the encounter?
