Strange Sighting in Michigan

Has anyone else encountered something like this? I can’t capture a photo with my iPhone, but I’ve noticed three lights that resemble stars arranged in a triangular formation. They usually appear in different areas of the sky, but one or more of them will start to move, while still maintaining the triangle shape. Sometimes they vanish if I look away for a moment; other times they remain visible and gradually fade out while I’m watching. I’ve witnessed this several times and can’t seem to find a logical explanation for it. Satellites don’t seem to fit the description. Has anyone else observed anything similar?

  1. That’s really intriguing! I’ve heard of similar sightings before, especially in areas with less light pollution where stars and other celestial objects can be more visible. The triangle formation you describe could potentially be several satellites, as they often move in known orbits and can sometimes appear to change position relative to each other.

Another possibility is that you’re seeing either a formation of aircraft, which can sometimes look like stars depending on their altitude and lighting, or even some sort of atmospheric phenomenon.

Have you noticed any patterns in when and where these sightings occur? It would be interesting to keep track of the dates and times and see if there’s any correlation. If you can, try to use a different camera or app that might be better suited for capturing low light objects. It could help you get a clearer picture!
