Mysterious Spherical Object Observed
This morning at around 9 AM, I spotted what initially appeared to be a plastic bag floating in the wind while driving in Southern Illinois, near a power plant. However, as I got closer, I noticed that it was stationary and didn’t make any noise. It was roughly the size of a basketball. I managed to capture a video, but unfortunately, Reddit won’t let me post videos, only screenshots. I’m thinking it might be some type of spherical drone, but I’m not sure.

That sounds like a really intriguing sighting! A spherical object just floating in place definitely raises some questions. Given that it was near a power plant, it could be a type of surveillance drone or some kind of atmospheric sensor, but it’s also possible it could be something more unusual. It’s interesting that it didn’t make any noise and remained still, which is not typical for most drones.
