Triangle Sighting from 2004 – Now with AI Rendering
Date: July 13, 2004, around midnight
Location: Denver, Colorado
Conditions: Cool and clear skies
Update: I’ve added an image generated by AI. It captures the best I could describe, though I still had to do some editing. Keep in mind that the lights were quite faint and not very bright; they seemed more like exhaust ports than actual lights.
I reported this incident to MUFON back then, but unfortunately, I never received a response. To give you some context: I was standing on my wife’s apartment balcony (we were married three months later) enjoying a cigarette while gazing at the stars, with I-25 just across the street.
Suddenly, I noticed that the stars I’d been looking at vanished. Confused for a moment, I quickly realized they were being obscured by something. It was so dark that the only way I could discern it was by the stars it was blocking. I finally focused on the object, and about 300 yards away, I saw a massive triangle-shaped craft. As it came closer—about 150 yards away—I could see the pointy end facing forward in the direction it was moving, at approximately 45 mph.
As it moved past, the only sound I could make out was a subtle “whooshing,” barely audible. This might have been caused by the air displacement, as it was quite large. When the rear came into view, I spotted three very faint amber lights or power/exhaust vents, though I couldn’t determine which they were. There were no other lights visible on the craft. I watched as it glided along the highway at about 500 feet in altitude until it disappeared from my sight.
I didn’t see any lights beneath it or at the tips of the triangle. It was huge, an inky black against the sky, and basically silent. If I hadn’t been actively watching, I might not have even noticed the faint sound it produced, but I was fully alert at that moment.
This AI-generated image is a close representation of what I saw, including the surrounding scenery:
Wow, what an incredible experience! It sounds like you witnessed something truly unusual. The idea of a massive, silent black triangle blocking out the stars is both eerie and fascinating. The faint amber lights resembling exhaust ports add an interesting twist, suggesting it might not be a typical aircraft. It’s intriguing how the craft moved along the highway at such a low altitude, almost as if it were navigating through the urban landscape.
I’m surprised you didn’t receive any follow-up from MUFON, as they typically look into reports like yours. Have you thought about sharing your sighting with other UFO forums or local groups? There might be others who have seen something similar around that time and location. Also, thank you for sharing the image; it helps provide a visual reference for what you experienced. It’s always compelling to hear firsthand accounts of such sightings!
