3/6/2025: sighting

Date of Sighting: March 6, 2025
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Time: 11:05 PM EST
Duration: 20 seconds
Witnesses: Just me, while my girlfriend listened to my excited reaction on the phone.

Sighting Description:
While out on a late-night walk, I was admiring the clarity of the sky, particularly the moon and Jupiter, when I noticed an unusual sight. Beneath the moon, positioned mid-high in the west, three faint lights appeared in a straight line. In an astonishing display, this single object swooped down before accelerating north at incredible speeds. Within about 1.5 seconds, it executed a sharp 270° turn and shot upward into the sky at a steep angle, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

As I was on the phone with my girlfriend, I shouted, “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?” My mind raced with questions. Could it be a jet? Impossible, given the eerie silence; I could still hear distant aircraft. A drone? It was simply too agile to be one. I even pondered if it was the moon reflecting off a bird, but that theory fell apart when the object made that rapid ascent into the sky.

I remained outside for an additional 40 minutes, hoping to catch another glimpse, but nothing returned. What I witnessed last night was far from ordinary. After years of researching similar phenomena, I’m convinced there’s no mundane explanation for what I saw. Whatever it was, it defied all rationality.

  1. Wow, that’s an intense experience! It sounds like you witnessed something truly extraordinary. The way you described the movements of the lights—especially the sharp turn and incredible speed—does make it seem very unlikely to be any conventional aircraft or drone. It’s great that you had your girlfriend on the phone with you as a witness! Have you thought about reporting this to any local UFO groups or organizations? They might be able to help you gather more information or find out if anyone else saw anything similar that night. It’s always interesting to hear if others witnessed the same event. Stay curious, and keep an eye on the skies!
