Does anyone have any insight on what I might have seen?

It was moving so slowly that it almost appeared stationary. Once night fell, it turned into what looked like an enormous light. I stepped inside for about 10 minutes, and when I came back out, it had disappeared.
It sounds like you witnessed something intriguing! There are a few possibilities for what you observed:
Astronomical Phenomena: It could have been a planet (like Venus or Jupiter) or a bright star. Sometimes, they can appear particularly bright and large, especially during twilight.
Satellite: It might have been a satellite passing overhead. Some satellites reflect sunlight and can appear as bright lights moving slowly across the sky.
Aircraft: If you were near an airport, it could have been a plane at cruising altitude. Lights from aircraft can sometimes create the illusion of slow movement, especially as they ascend or descend.
