I think I might have seen a UFO tonight—maybe you all can help me figure it out?
So there I was, standing on my deck having a smoke at 2:17 AM in the Shoreline/Edmonds area of Northwestern Seattle, just outside the main city. I noticed a yellow light, and above it, about 1500 to 3000 feet up, there were two white lights that formed a sort of triangle.
Having grown up hunting for satellites with my dad and being a pilot myself, I was intrigued by the orange light. It seemed to be moving in a way that resembled a helicopter hovering rather than flying with a steady speed. I thought to myself, being surrounded by trees, there’s no way it could see me, but it was undeniably fascinating. The orange light descended, and even though it wasn’t super close, I had this feeling like we were kind of checking each other out.
It wasn’t scary at all—more like a casual “what’s up?” Lol. Has anyone else witnessed something similar or have any ideas about what I saw? I’ve just never seen an aircraft behave like this, especially with two planes above it emitting white lights.
