So it’s 2025 and people still can’t be bothered to check for rocket starts before posting..

Here we are in 2025, and it’s frustrating to see that many still neglect to verify rocket launches before sharing.
Submission Statement:
I get it—it can be exhausting to talk about this, and maybe it feels pointless. However, there was a recent Starship test launch that anyone interested in spaceflight should be aware of, whether they’re into human space travel or not.

Sadly, it seems that many continue to share images of rockets and debris as if they’re unusual without doing any research first. It’s so blatantly misguided that I can’t help but wonder if there’s some sort of coordinated effort to undermine credibility.

  1. I totally understand your frustration! It’s surprising how many people overlook major events in space exploration, especially something as significant as a Starship test launch. It’s crucial for those interested in spaceflight to stay updated and considerate about what they share. It can be disheartening to see astronauts and space enthusiasts getting distracted by rocket-related content that’s already been explained or even scheduled.

While I wouldn’t jump to the idea of a coordinated discrediting campaign, it certainly raises a conversation about the importance of checking sources and being informed before posting. The more informed we are, the better the discussions we can have about space exploration and the challenges it faces. Let’s keep encouraging everyone to do a little homework first—it’s a small effort that can make a big difference!
