UAP Incident in Mississippi
After enjoying dinner at my parents’ house, I hopped into my truck to head back to my apartment. I sat in the vehicle for a few minutes, lost in thought due to my ADHD, when suddenly, a loud airplane noise startled me from above. Normally, the sound of a plane gradually increases as it approaches and fades as it moves away. This was different; it felt as if the sound abruptly activated right when it was directly overhead.
When I looked up, I was taken aback. I’ve lived in this town for 19 years, and I’d never seen a plane fly so low. It was close enough that I could have read any writing on the underside of its wings without my glasses. The lights were unusually bright, consisting of one green light on each wing and two white lights in the center, all aligned parallel to one another. It was heading from south to north, while the airport is located to the west of where I was. The whole aircraft was exceptionally clear and did not resemble any commercial plane I had ever seen; it was about the size of a bus.
While it may seem like a normal aircraft based on my description, the sudden noise, the low altitude, and the non-flashing lights prompted me to share my experience on Reddit. For context, if you saw the recent footage from a woman in New Jersey who captured a UAP while at a football field, this object bore a striking resemblance to that. My phone was dead, and even if it hadn’t been, I wouldn’t have had enough time to capture it on film since I only noticed it when it was directly above me. With Mississippi’s dense trees, I only had about 10 seconds of clear view.
After this sighting, I moved to my parents’ backyard to keep an eye on the sky. Initially, I didn’t see anything unusual, though I could hear a distant plane, which I couldn’t see, for about five minutes. Then, the noise stopped abruptly.
As I scanned the sky for the sound’s source, I finally spotted what looked like a normal plane at a typical altitude. However, I quickly noticed that it was completely silent and unlike the first low-flying object. This second plane had flashing red and white lights in a familiar pattern, but then the pattern became erratic and unpredictable.
To illustrate the unusual flashing:
- It started with red once, then white once, repeating.
- Then it changed to white three times,
- Followed by red once,
- White four times,
- Red three times,
- And so on, without a predictable sequence.
This second plane was moving from northwest to southeast.
Now, here’s where the story takes a strange turn: A small white dot, moving at the speed of a shooting star, collided with the second plane, causing a bright flash that illuminated the clouds above. This third object was coming from north to south before it made contact, yet the plane continued on its path as if nothing had happened.
I was in complete disbelief. At first, I thought it could have been a shooting star, but this object came from below the cloud line. Given the significant light pollution in the area, spotting a shooting star is quite challenging.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the night sky ever since the recent UAP sightings began in December, but I hadn’t noticed anything worth mentioning until tonight. I had previously thought the recent hysteria and numerous sightings in the northeast U.S. were mainly misidentifications—people mistaking planes for something extraordinary. However, the first object I saw tonight resonated with what others have reported: a plane that looks normal but has something off about it (very low altitude, irregular noise, and unusually bright lights). The second plane? I can’t wrap my head around what I just witnessed.
Has anyone else experienced something similar or have any explanations for what I saw?
Wow, what an incredible experience you had! It sounds like you witnessed something quite unusual in the sky. The way you described the first “plane” is fascinating—especially how it suddenly went from silent to loud and the unique lighting. It definitely seems like it didn’t fit the profile of a typical aircraft.
The collision you mentioned is particularly intriguing. The fact that you saw a bright dot move at such high speed and then collide with the second plane is quite unusual. It raises a lot of questions: Was it a meteor, or could it be something else entirely?
Many people are reporting similar sightings, and the characteristics you described—low altitude, strange noises, unusual lighting—are aligning with what others have observed in various locations. It’s interesting how people are questioning what they see more than ever, especially with all the recent discussions about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).
I don’t have a definitive explanation, but it’s clear that you experienced something worth sharing. Have you considered checking local news or social media to see if anyone else reported similar sightings? There could be more to this than we realize! Thanks for sharing your story; it’s definitely got me curious about what’s happening in the skies!
